Down right funny but insightful as well. You get a look into Hollywood and motion pictures that one rarely hears about. Billy Crystal is an amazing talent and he lets it all out on this great audio book!

The audio adds a lot to this book, as it's read by Crystal himself, sometimes in front of an audience. What pleasure I had driving to work and laughing out loud in the car by myself! Billy seems not to have forgotten his humble beginnings or his luck in having the career he does. Most of all, he has a strong sense of family and love for his wife of many years - something that stands out among actors and comedians. Highly recommended for a road trip, or just because you need to laugh.

This is a great memoir to enjoy via audiobook, especially since it is read or "performed" by the author. It is formatted as a series of stand-up performances on his lifestory and various aspects of aging. Great entertainment on a road trip.

Hollywood fluff, but still an entertaining listen. The audiobook is the preferred media for this volume, as Mr Crystal performs many of the chapters in front of an audience, so you get a little dose of Crystal stand up comedy. To his credit, Crystal makes no claims to a career of offering up entertainment substance. "Maarrrvvvelous" is about it. His act, his public persona, is nothing more than an entertainment business magic trick. He even admits as much in the title: "Still Foolin' Them". Crystal's contribution is to offer up a smile and some personal charm. When in front of an audience, even if he has nothing really to say, he's very good at doing. Crystal in fact clearly needs an audience, easily demonstrated when comparing between chapters where Mr Crystal reads to a live audience, vs when those he's reading alone in the studio. When alone, he seems very alone. With the audience, he comes alive. Pros: Live audience readings. Con's: Way too much time given to Crystal's sophomoric baseball obsession. If you can allocate some time to the trivial, just want a chuckle or two, reservedly recommended.

LIBRARY SOFTWARE LACKING.
PENDING COMMENTS DELETED RIOR TO FINISHING COMMENTS WHILE CHECKING ON STAR RATING.
HAPPY, ENTERTAINING, SAD AUDIO.
BILLY READING THE AUDIO WITH HIS IMPERSONATIONS WAS A PLUS. LOTS OF GREAT BACKGROUD INFO ON ACTORS , FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
DID NOT LIKE HARRY MET SALLY. CITY SLICKERS WAS GREAT.
BILLY'S ACADEMY AWARD HOSTING WAS SO GOOD. ONE TIME HE WAS ILL, BUT YOU COULD NOT TELL HE HAD PNEUMONIA.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this memoir! It is precisely what you'd hope it would be--funny, smart, introspective without being overly sentimental. I feel like I know and understand Billy Crystal better, got an intimate peek into his life, and I was entertained along the way. I especially appreciate that he reads the audiobook himself; he's got such a distinctive voice.
