I recently read the book: Rules Of Summer, by Joanna Philbin. This is an amazing summer book to read. Rory and Isabel’s characters are total opposites. At the beginning of the book it takes a couple to get into the main part of the book. I really liked Rory and Isabel’s friendship that had developed half way through the book. Isabel’s romance in the book is more insecure and there were lots of uncertainties within the relationship. It started to get really interesting when you found out that Isabel had a different dad than the rest of her siblings. Things got really interesting when Rory and Conner started seeing each other secretly. In my opinion Rory’s storyline was much more interesting than Isabel. I think the way the author described how rich Isabel and Conner’s parents were was really captivating. There was lots of tension when Rory and Conner revealed what was going on between them and the way Isabel's mom treated her own daughter was disgusting. I rate this book a ⅗ @peppapig of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
