I found this a real page-turner and well-written ... and then came to the last two chapters. Oh dear. The second-last chapter has our heroine confronting a bad dude in risky circumstances, but the storyline here was not believable and ill-considered. In reality those circumstances see women and children lose their lives and I can't get past that. I found it difficult to maintain interest in the fairy-tale ending after that, which was pretty much the only vivid description of sexuality in the book. After being so spare throughout the book the change felt odd and superfluous.
