Add a CommentThis memoir of a woman's life in Tuscany during WWII reads smoothly from beginning to end. You feel all of the emotions that are pent up in Antonia's heart all these years later.
This book is quite similar to the author's book set in Sicily where the story is focussed on another woman and her life in Italy. I didn't realise how badly Tuscany was affected in WWII.
