"When an unexpected medical crisis sends [the author] on a deeply personal journey to tease out the intersections between sexuality and creativity, she discovers, much to her own astonishment, an increasing body of scientific evidence that suggests that the vagina is not merely flesh, but an intrinsic component of the female brain--and thus has a fundamental connection to female consciousness itself."--Dust jacket.

An astounding and riveting book. One of those game-changers and eye-openers that every woman who respects herself (and her vagina) should read... and every man who loves women.

Update 02/07/15: Interesting interview with Ms. Wolf at the disinfo.com site.] Naomi Wolf is an evolving woman, an evolving author, an evolving thinker and an evolving human. I started off not being a big fan of hers, but either she changed, I changed or both our psyches have evolved in a converging fashion. A major Wolf fan through and through!

Great book! I wish I read it when I was nineteen, no, sixteen. Big Thank you to Naomi Wolf.
