ione sky is one fabulous babe. John Mahoney co-stars as her father. He went on to play Frazier's father, on tv. John Cuszack, from early in his long career, plays a kick-boxer before the rise of MMA. For more of his moves, see Gross Pointe Blanck. the film was written and directed by Cameron Crowe, before he did the same for ALMOST FAMOUS. can't comment on the genre film that it is: it's more intelligent than AMERICAN PIE, has a Chicago feel to it, though it's supposed to be in Seattle. the boombox held up on the cover makes it look more dated than it is. supposedly, this film reminds one of the stars, of ORDINARY PEOPLE's characterization and plot.

Say Anything is a perfect coming-of-age movie. I wouldn't change a thing about it. It is rated PG-13.

Insightful teen comedy that thankfully treats its leads like real people. I wasn’t surprised to find out it was written by the guy who wrote Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Having never seen this the first time around, I saw this recently, and was left very underwhelmed. I do not recall laughing even once; maybe I'm the Tinman?

One of the best 80's movies I've ever seen! I wish Hollywood still made teen movies like this one.

Iconic 80's Teen romantic comedy. Has enough heart to balance out its sillyness. Well written and acted. I'll always have a soft spot for it.

One of John Cusack's earliest roles, and you can see that he already has his "manic deadpan" schtick down pat. A teen romance, but with enough extra to make it an OK watch and/or date movie. (*Very* 80s.)
