Ryan Evans was taken captive after a bombing in the desert. Ryan is one of the navy intelligents best men. Thats why hes a captain. As well as being smart he can hide his emotions deep down inside so that he can get a job done. Everything changes after the bombing. Hes taken captive by Americas enemies. Kahlid his captor and torcher, is tring to make Ryon break down...mentally. He has to look at images of what America has done to Kahlids country. The Kahlid starts sending innocent children into the room, one at a time. Ryan can help the children survive, but he must give up the lolcation of his daughter and wife so Kahlid can kill them instead. Ryan makes the obvious choice, but rthe haunting sound of childrens breaking bones is horrible. Ryan does breakdown, but not before being miracuously rescued. He decides war is to much for him and goes home, to reneew his broken relationship with his unfaithful wife, and model daughter. He is rejected and disowned by his family, and sent to deal with his well-deserved misery and dismay all alone. Ryan, forced to stay away from his daughter, whom he loves more that anything, by a legal form he finds out too late that a popular murderer called the bone man has taken his daughter for his next victim. Boneman, like Ryans desert captors, fancies in breaking the bones girls, without breaking a single cell of skin. The cold boneman took all the girls hoing that each would be an exceptable daughter, but each failed and he disposed of them. Now Bethany is to take his trial, while still feeling resentment to her real father and mother. Ryan follows a clue trail that the boneman left him, hoping mistruths, knowing full well the unthinkable could happen. BAHH to his own life, he was fully devoted to rescuing his daughter whatever the cost. This enthralling and intriguing novel is of a broken family coming together and learning to love, only because tragedy brings them together. Big hit for me. Im only 12 burt i think people much older could read this book with intrest.
