I liked that there seemed to be a lot of old style, European Jewish recipes in the mix rather than reading a middle eastern cookbook re-packaged as a Jewish cook book as some books feel.

I was frustrated with some of the recipes however, using products that arent available here.... maybe the authors focus was more the American market.

Still, a good jumping off point for a basic understanding of Jewish holy days and the food attached to them.
