Insightful with a real feel, making one wish the world could be a kinder place. Poor Africa, where it seems greed, dishonesty murder and beauty abound.

Le Carre is an exceptional writer, but my favourites remain the DVD's Tinker Taylor..... and Smiley\s People with Alec Guiness.

Another excellent book from John LeCarre. This time, the story focuses on the Republic of Congo, and a Congolese translator in England, In the course of his job, he hears secrects that could have tragic consequences for whatever country is involved. John LeCarre turns up the heat, and I get lost in the plot. I didn't want to put this book down.
