Classic 80's movie.

Jul 20, 2016

This movie here has a special place in most of our hearts and will always be considered a classic. As one of the true 80’s icons it becomes apparent than not many people haven’t seen this movie, only exceptions being the young kids that grew up with Jaden smith as their Daniel san. Scenes from this movie prove to be unforgettable and always referred to in pop culture wether it be in music, comedy, internet, movies, or anywhere else. The amount of excitement one feels when witnessing the conclusion of all of Daniels training in his final fight against Johnny is unamountable by any other classic fighting movies except for possibly rocky, which ironically had the same director, who knew. The actors including Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita perfectly encompass their characters and show the bond between teacher and student in an incredible way. Although many critics might give this movie a hard time no doubt it is one to be written in the history books, and you’ll never forget to wax on then wax off. I completely recommend to see this original film, I give it a 8/10 rating. - @magicsoup of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

This movie was great! I liked getting to know both Mr. Miyagi and Daniel better during the movie and seeing how the characters changed as the movie progressed. Mr. Miyagi is a really fun character and I love the relationship between him and Daniel.

Thought this was a great movie for both girls and guys. There's plenty of action, humour and romance. The characters are very believable, and the ending put a smile on my face. A really good family movie.

Miyagi: First, wash all car. Then wax. Wax on...

Daniel: Hey, why do I have to...?

Miyagi: Ah ah! Remember deal! No questions!

Daniel: Yeah, but...

Miyagi: Hai!

[makes circular gestures with each hand]

Miyagi: Wax on, right hand. Wax off, left hand. Wax on, wax off. Breathe in through nose, out the mouth. Wax on, wax off. Don't forget to breathe, very important.

[walks away, still making circular motions with hands]

Miyagi: Wax on, wax off. Wax on, wax off.
