Couldn't get into it and stopped reading . Too much product brand dropping.

Fantastic thriller! Lots of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end.

"Great psychological twists and turns with a plot that unfolds really well and though-out characters. It's dark and troubling, as you go through the main character's life and past, you'll definitely be hooked until the end to see how it…

I hate it when I finish a book and have no idea what happened at the end! GRRRR!!

Eh! The lengthy set up of the main character forms a most unlikable, shallow, money-grubbing, social-climbing, materialistic human being. I couldn't stand her. She was set up with no redeeming qualities. So I had no reason to care about…

Pretty sure I'm not the target audience for this book, but my wife and I saw the movie, and my wife said the book was so much better and more complete, so here we are. As usual, she was right. I found the novel extremely well written by…

The book was well written but would likely appeal to a younger, more young adult audience. A trigger warning would have been nice for the 2-3 very graphic scenes. Not much for likeable characters in this book.

A horrible book about horrible people.

Saw the movie on Netflix first. I really enjoyed both the book and the film. I felt the film stayed very close to the true essence of the book.

This book wasn't the "page turner" for me that was advertised. No surprises and the ending leaves you hanging. I kept waiting for a twist to the story but there was none. No surprises.

This book is extremely controversial, dark and disturbing, yet gripping. At first the reader thinks it is about a school shooting, but then layers unfold to reveal a different story. The main character is too angry to be likeable, but…

This book was... frustrating? So much of it was very... shallow? The lead character Ani bemoaning the difficulties of being new money instead of old money. The strong focus on climbing the social ladder. And the adult version felt so…

I really struggled with this in the beginning. I found Ani insufferable. It took me days just to get through the first 60-ish pages. DAYS. I couldn’t decide if I hated her enough to regard this as a DNF, or if I was just going to power…

This book was very well written and I enjoyed the storyline, however when I chose this book I did not realize this book would take us through two traumatic events. So while that took me off guard, I thought it was very well written and…

It was a bit boring at first and dragged on in the beginning, but the build up was worth it (for the most part). It was interesting from a psychological perspective to see how the character's past affected her present day self and I really…

I read through a good part of this, but DNF. It really wasn’t my type of book. For one, I think it might appeal more to a youthful audience. Two, I did not like the main character at all. From the get-go she had a chip on her…

This exercise in simmering tension might be described as "blaming the victim" to an extreme. Ani FaNelli carries a heavy load of baggage she's had dumped on her after a series of traumatic events at her prestigious private school some ten…

This book was so good! I definitely think it would be more of interest to young adults. The main character reminded me a lot of what high school was like for me- I didn’t realize how much I would relate to Ani. There was something that I…

It took me a bit to get into the main character. But she was worth it, as I completely understood her as her “story” developed. This book surprised me, I didn’t see what was coming and it stuck with me for a while.

At first didn’t love Ani, a bit superficial but mid way through the book it took and unexpected turn then I couldn’t put the book down.

I read this for a book club, and it definitely got my group talking! The jacket summary doesn't give any insight into how dark the book gets, so readers beware. This isn't a light read. That being said, I feel it's an interesting take…

If you like self centered people who only care about themselves, this is the girl for you. By the time we got to her sad back story I didnt care. A lot of people have tragic pasts and can still see the needs of others. This girl ain't one…

I thought about this book for a good amount of time after finishing it. It's definitely not what I was expecting -- I began reading thinking it was a typical fluff story about a young woman who is about to marry into a rich family. It was…

I had a hard time getting into this book. The main character was not my favorite , and at times I honestly couldn’t stand her. After you read further and learn about her past, her family, and school it all adds up to why she is the way she…
