There's helpful commentary on disc 2. I wish I'd watched it first, would have had greater appreciation for the complexity of the movie while viewing it.

I have to say the avant-garde directing by director Jean-Pierre Jeunet didn't do much for me. I find the voice-over often redundant and not adding much to the story. Still, it is an enjoyable watch overall.
