Me Before You, although a romance book, is not a sappy love story. This novel has themes ranging from how to live as an individual to how to love. We learn how to live boldly and take everyday as a gift so that we do not overlook the things that allow each and every one of us to have a fulfilling life. Through Louisa's upbeat personality and Will's declining self, Moyes brings her readers to contemplate the values in each of our lives and to live as we have never lived before.Me Before You, although a romance book, is not a sappy love story. As one that is quite skeptical of black and white movies, Roman Holiday brought me to love these movies. I'm not sure if it is the charming, easy to love character of Audrey Hepburn or just the brilliance of the story that initially brought me to love this movie. The storyline is one that all people easily fall in love with, as I believe that all people really want to see what a princess wants to do with her life! For those who still don't know whether this movie is one to watch, just remember, it's a classic and is also Blair Waldorf's favorite movie. You simply cannot go wrong with this movie. As one that is quite skeptical of black and white movies, Roman Holiday brought me to love these movies. As a student attending a rigorous high school, I was elated when I saw a familiar title on my required reading list. The Great Gatsby brings its readers to the 1920s, where wealth and gluttony took over the lives of the American people. The narrator, Nick Carroway, tells the story of the elaborate life of Jay Gatsby, his next door neighbor, who frequently throws huge parties for all people. His parties cater to the higher classes of the world, giving readers a sense of what it felt like to be a person with wealth during this time period. However with further investigation, readers are exposed to the idea of the "gilded age" that happened a few years prior. In this heartbreaking romantic drama, one is able to experience the life of Gatsby the millionaire who is viewed as the perfect American man, while also finding out what inspires him in life, leading his story to be all the more tragic. As a student attending a rigorous high school, I was elated when I saw a familiar title on my required reading list. - "Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that's no matter - to-morrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther...And one fine morning - So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.""Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us.
