The entire series is superb! I completed a formal written request for season 6 last year sometime. I agree with everyone else's comments; season 6 and 7 please! There will be a line-up to borrow these!

This book kept my attention from the beginning. Without giving too much away, it is interesting how ultimately the author shows us that 'family' isn't always just about the DNA. The main character, struggling with his own mortality takes it upon himself to do what he believes is right. That process takes many twists and turns and just when you think you know the 'who done it', another curve gets thrown your way. Enough of a story to keep the reader interested and let me say that the last four chapters were worth the wait. My first Barclay novel and that being said, it won't be my last! This book kept my attention from the beginning. Reading this book, all I could do was place myself in Claire's position. Her thought process throughout her ordeal was so 'human'. She displayed courage that I believe most of us would not think we were capable of. At the same time though, she leaves you with a feeling that she has been humbled by the whole experience and that we are stronger than we think we are. She is refreshing to read because as frightening as her whole experience must have been, she found thoughts and moments of humour. This book is worth the read. Not always pleasant, but it will stay with you.Reading this book, all I could do was place myself in Claire's position. Her thought process throughout her ordeal was so 'human'. Such an interesting perspective on the human race...through the eyes of the extra terrestrial. This novel is sweet, honest and thought provoking. Matt Haig is bang on! He makes observations about the human race that will absolutely strike your nerve. His comments had me laughing out loud! For anyone who wants a quick read with content that will relate to them as a 'human', you need not look any further. Loved, loved this book. A very quick read which kept my interest right from the start. This is a story about the importance of being yourself and the unhappiness that can follow when you're not true to this. Of course, it is not always that simple and that is the underlying current here. The author writes about identical twin sisters who take different paths in life; not always by choice. The subject matter includes societal issues such as race and gender which allows the author to develop the characters and make them believable. I would recommend this book to friends. Another indicator of a decent read is when I place a hold on the author's other novels. Done.A very quick read which kept my interest right from the start. I agree with some of the other comments made by readers. The author does indeed have a great knowledge about dogs and breeding them in particular. I wish I'd read this book before buying our recent family dog! However, the story was not cohesive. There were some interesting parts but far too many sections where I found myself reading ahead to get through the story. Agreed, the ending was a total let down. Think about whether or not you want to invest the time into this book. I still seem to be one of those people that has to read to the very end, in hopes that it will be worth it. This one doesn't really make the cut in that department.I agree with some of the other comments made by readers. What a sweet, wonderful story. It was definitely a quick read and although this is a sequel, I read the book without having read the first novel. A book I think a lot of people can relate to.
